Change tracking and source control are two important complementary features of Pulse that allow you to understand and manage your TM1 server.

Using source control as the basis for creating a migration package is the best way to ensure you have all appropriate changes included in your package. Pulse tracks each change as it occurs so you can easily identify changes by date range and by person.

Pulse has a number of methods for creating a migration package. Each one is important in certain circumstances. All of the options create a migration package that can be applied to multiple target servers. All options include the files that have been selected, dependencies and documentation that has been added to each object.

By default Pulse only stores the name of a dimension and the types of attributes in source control.
